Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia in Rural America
September 17, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
A Complimentary Webinar for the Multidisciplinary CLL Treatment Team Some of the highest incidence rates of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) occur in the rural states of Montana, Maine, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Kentucky, where disparities in cancer care are also known to exist. This program provides an opportunity for clinicians practicing in these rural states to participate in personalized education designed to both improve disparities in care for these patients and link quality improvement measures to the initiative for reporting to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Quality Payment Program for Small, Underserved, and Rural Practices Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). Dr. Farrukh Awan, Director of the Lymphoid Malignancies Program at the UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Awan will be hosting the complimentary virtual webinar. It is a free standing program that’s already set and will happen during the lunch hour (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM, CST). This activity is eligible for CME/CPE/CNE credit.
