National Lung Cancer Screening Day
November 9
The American College of Radiology invites your facility to participate in National Lung Cancer Screening Day, Saturday, Nov. 9, by opening your facility for screening. The American Cancer Society National Lung Cancer Roundtable, ACR®, Radiology Health Equity Coalition and Go2 for Lung Cancer have partnered again for this annual event to increase screening access for people who cannot take time off during the week to get screened.
Lung cancer is one of the deadliest forms of cancer and is estimated to claim the lives of over 125,070 Americans this year. Did you know that even though survival rates can be improved significantly by screening, only a small percentage of eligible individuals get screened for lung cancer?
This is where you can help! Sign up to have your facility participate and then share the message with your network to get more people screened, help reduce disparities and create more lung cancer survivors.
Share the hashtags, #LCSDay2024, #LCSM, #LungCancer and #LCAM, and use our link lungcancerscreeningday.org to encourage others to learn more about National Lung Cancer Screening Day and the importance of early detection.
Let’s work together to increase lung cancer screening and save lives.
