SUMMARY:Cancer Caregiver Support Group
DESCRIPTION:Active Generations and the Cancer Coalition have launched a free\, statewide support program to support unpaid\, informal caregivers of people with cancer. \nWe know caregivers are everywhere across South Dakota – spouses\, adult children\, friends\, neighbors – but many are carrying this role quietly and without support. \nWhile online resources can be helpful\, caregivers consistently tell us they need in-person connection: a place to gather\, share experiences\, and feel understood by others who truly get it. This program was created to meet that need and to build a welcoming\, supportive community for caregivers at any stage of the cancer journey. \nThe cancer caregiver program offers support groups and social gatherings\, educational classes\, one-on-one case management\, and peer-to-peer connections. All caregivers are welcome\, and participation is free. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at Touchmark at All Saints in Sioux Falls\, with a virtual Zoom option available: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86713042401 \nWe ask Coalition partners to help spread the word by sharing this opportunity with your networks\, clients\, patients\, staff\, and community members. A personal recommendation or simple mention can make a big difference for someone who may not yet see themselves as a “caregiver\,” but is deeply in need of support. \nFor more information or to RSVP\, caregivers can contact Meghan Clark at Active Generations at 605-333-3312 or by email.

SUMMARY:Raise the Rates: 2026 Immunize SD Conference
DESCRIPTION:Marking its 10th year\, the 2026 Immunize SD Conference features an expanded format with a day and a half of programming\, creating more time for learning\, discussion\, and collaboration. \nIn addition to general and breakout sessions\, the conference will include interactive workshops designed to support practical application and skill-building that participants can use in their work. A conference social hour will take place immediately following sessions on Day 1\, providing time to connect with colleagues and partners. \nThe conference will be held at Cedar Shore Resort in Oacoma\, South Dakota\, a new location for Immunize SD that offers a more relaxed setting for connection and conversation outside of Sioux Falls. \nWith a later start on Day 1\, some participants may be able to travel in that morning\, helping reduce overall travel burden. An earlier end time on Day 2 supports same-day travel home. \nThe conference design reflects this year’s theme—Raise the Rates—and supports deeper learning and stronger collaboration across the state. \nRegistration: https://www.immunizesd.org/2026-conference/
