Angeletti\, Associate Professor\, University of Nebraska-Lincoln\, Nebraska Center for Virology\, School of Biological Sciences \nTarget Audience \nThis activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of health professionals who provide and/or promote immunizations including physicians\, physician assistants and registered nurses\, as well as health professions students. \nEducational Objectives \nDr. Angeletti will explain the biology of HPV and its infection; including how the virus replicates and how it hides from the immune system. He will then discuss the mechanism by which HPV causes cancer. He will then show evidence of different manifestations of HPV-related dysplasia\, using examples from his research work in Tanzania and Zambia.
