National Partners Launch Web Site!
DCPC and the Comprehensive Cancer Control National Partnership (CCCNP), a partnership of 16 national organizations whose purpose is to support comprehensive cancer control coalitions in states, tribes, territories, and U.S. Pacific Island Jurisdictions, is pleased to announce the launch of a new public web site at www.cccnationalpartners.org. The CCCNP public web site is designed to provide information, tools, and resources relevant to those working in comprehensive cancer control and to highlight the work of CCCNP as it pertains to coalitions and their ability to perform comprehensive cancer control. Visit the new CCCNP site to stay abreast of the latest updates from our member organizations, technical assistance tools and resources, as well as events and activities that support comprehensive cancer control efforts.
HPV Vaccine offered in South Dakota
During his 2007 State of the State address, Governor Rounds announced the state would launch a one-year initiative to offer HPV vaccine free to South Dakota girls from ages 11 to 18. The Gardasil vaccine can prevent the strains of HPV (human papilloma virus) that cause up to 70% of all cervical cancer.

The Sister Study
The Sister Study is a long-term study of women aged 35 to 74 with sisters who had breast cancer. It is a national study to learn how environment and genes affect the chances of getting breast cancer.
