Overview
Avera and American Cancer Society present this specially designed course to look at the implementation of strategies to improve the prevention and early detection of colon cancer and to reduce cancer disparities.
Target Audience: Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Nurses and Healthcare Professionals whose work addresses cancer screening
Objectives
- Identify evidence-based interventions, including systems changes for improving cancer screening rates.
- Describe existing tools and resources designed to help increase cancer screening rates.
- Review current cancer screening guidelines, including evidence-based testing options.
- Recognize the National 80% by 2018 Initiative.
