Overview
The Avera Cancer Institute Oncology Symposium is designed to enhance collaboration between the provider and the multidisciplinary team in caring for individuals with cancer across the continuum of care.
Registration
This is a request for Vendors to participate in the Avera Cancer Institute’s 18th Annual Oncology Symposium this September 28th and 29th, 2017. The following information is requested in order to have a booth at the Symposium:
Payment request amount: Avera requests that interested vendors remit payment of $1000 to have a booth at the Symposium for the 28th and 29th of September, 2017.

Anticipated number of attendees: 175 – including MDs, NPs, CNPs, social workers, patient navigators, and all others both inside healthcare and in the community who are interested in learning more about the current state and future prospects of cancer treatment and facilities.
Vendor Area: The vendor booths are setup in an area for viewing that is distinct from where the symposium education is occurring, and each booth has their own small area that is distinct from other vendors around them.
Break for viewing: Breaks are listed on the agenda, however if attendees at the symposium choose not to view some sessions offered they may also view vendor booths during the entirety of the program.

Accreditation
CME:
Avera is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Application has been made for continuing medical education.
CNE:
Avera Health is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Alabama State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Application has been made for continuing nursing education.
Respiratory Therapy:
Application will be made to American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) for continuing education contact hours for respiratory therapists.
Pharmacy:
Application will be made to the South Dakota Board of Pharmacy for Pharmacist Continuing Education credits.
Long Term Care Administrators:
Application has also been made for credit for nursing facility administrators, social workers, and counselors
Recording Attendance
Program participants should bring their cellphone with them to the conference. Program check-in for this event will be taken via text message.
