Breast Cancer Signs & Symptoms
The American Indian Cancer Foundation (AICAF) is excited to celebrate another Indigenous Pink event this October. Indigenous Pink is a national breast cancer awareness campaign for American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) people. Breast cancer is the most common cancer found in Native women, and is the second leading cause of cancer death. Throughout the month, AICAF aims to educate people about the importance of early detection, and encourage both men and women to stay up to date on breast cancer screenings. Because this national campaign happens on a digital platform, community members, health professionals and health equity leaders are able to participate from anywhere! We invite you to join us in raising awareness of breast health in our communities by engaging in our activities throughout the month, and by celebrating Indigenous Pink Day on Thursday October 17, 2019.
